Description

Lib Tech Women's Glider Snowboard

Are you seeking a board that can take you smoothly and safely down the mountain? Then look no further than the Glider! With BTX technology, your ride will be effortless yet secure, no matter your skill level - ideal for novices and experienced boarders alike!

Type: Freestyle / All-Mountain
Flex: 5 (out of 10)

Profile: BTX
Years ago Lib Tech's experimental division started the snowboard profile revolution by introducing the now legendary Skate Banana model with the Original Banana Technology.
A mild rocker between your feet combined with mild cambers at the tip and tail. The easiest profile to make a lot of progression and fun as a beginner. Learn new tricks every day, go jibbing and keep floating in the powder with this banana.

Shape: true twin
A true twin is exactly symmetrical, so it doesn't matter if you go down front left or front right, the board feels the same. With a true twin, both the shape of the board and the core are the same. True Twin is perfect for people who ride a lot of switch, or do tricks where you turn your board, because the board feel is always the same during landings. Due to the Asymmetrical shape, the heels and toes have a different turning circle. This makes riding on your heels a little easier and riding on your toes even more enjoyable.

Core: 75% aspen / 25% paulownia
This core of Lib Tech consists for more than half of aspen which is a somewhat heavier type of wood, to make the snowboard lighter there are 2 lanes of paulownia wood in the core.

Glass: tri-ax / bi-ax fiber

Top: eco-sublimated poly top

Base: eco sublimated TNT
Lib Tech's TNT base is, according to them, the best base there is. Not because it slides the best, but because it retains the ease of maintenance of an extruded base, but slides a lot better than an extruded base and goes towards the sintered bases. The base consists of double bearing fluoro material. Eco sublimated is a very technical story but simply means that this base is made ecologically friendly.

Sidewalls: UHWM sintered / birch internal
UHWM is one of the strongest thermoplastic plastics at the moment. This ensures that you don't have to have your board repaired every time after hitting a box, rail or skis. There is a thin layer of birch on the inside of your sidewalls, this type of wood is very strong and flexible, which ensures that your sidewall can better distribute and absorb the force of an impact.

Steel side: magne-traction
If you have ever driven on ice you know how quickly you can lose control there. Magne traction cuts through ice and hard snow with 7 wavy bumps. Simply put, your steel side bites into the ice instead of cutting like a serrated knife does in bread. But in normal snow on piste it gives control and hold which gives you the confidence to keep speed. You will feel this especially with turns where you put power in or while carving.
